Spring Update
2007-04-17
In the last month we have had my Dad, Leanne's Dad, and my grandparents, and Jeremy Link visit us. I will get pictures of their visits up soon, with the exception of Dad's visit. After he left, we realized that we had not take a single picture during his visit. Hopefully he saved his plane ticket to prove that he was actually here. Both fathers helped with finishing the basement, which is now in the painting stage. Other events included hockey tournaments, skiing, shopping at Frenchy's, etc.
Leanne is in the last week of here clinical term. She is stationed at a long term care facility in Chester. I am now back to work after my break, working on another soccer title for the PS2, and PSP.
Brayden's, hockey is now over. He finished the season strong, with a game MVP, and fistful of goals. Both he and Ethne start soccer in May.
My hockey team folded, so I only got a handful of games in this winter. So I supplemented with indoor soccer. Fastball starts up in May, which I am looking forward to.
Miikka is now physically full size, though still a teen mentally. Generally well behaved, so long as he get his exercise. He has really started to take to water. He loves the stream and pond out behind the house, though he doesn't like being locked in the porch while he dries off.
Spring is rainy right now, and looks like it may be a repeat of our previous two springs in NS. But we are confident that summer and fall will be as great as it has been for the last two.
The much awaited update
2007-02-06
The plan was to write our Christmas letter here, but that never happened. So I am just doing at work here, while waiting on a build.
Brayden has started Grade 2, and his first year of novice hockey. He highlight this year was three goals in a day (during a double header). Just had his eighth birthday party; it a full-on was a co-ed zoo.
Ethne has gone back to daycare full time, and has decided that she likes it. Just turned four, and boasts that "I am not 3 and a half anymore!".
Miikka, our pup, starts his classes tonight. He is a mad fetcher, can catch anything you throw, and generally well behaved. He loves to lick Brayden as he sprints from the shower to his room. He has also decided that he should sleep at the foot of Ethne's bed.
Leanne started a two year Nursing course at NSCC. She is really enjoying it, despite the workload.
I am just waiting for my end of project break to start, so I can do some work on the house. My third title (Rugby, Maddden, Soccer) hits shelves in about a month. I have recently started work on Trailer Park Boys, for HB's entry in the telefilm
contest.
There are some new pictures up, of the house yard, kids, pup, etc. There are about 50 coming in the next week. Stay tuned.

Ryder Jay Rommelaere
2006-03-30
Our new little nephew "Ryder Jay" was born January 22, 2006. He weighed 8 lbs 1/2 oz. Jeremy wasn't sure on the length and Jolene was not available for accurate info. We can't wait to meet you little guy! Zander, give him a big hug and kiss for us! Love you guys!
New House
2005-12-27
We move into our new house sometime in January. We get possession of the joint on the 13th of January. But we don't have to be out of our current place until the 30th. So have a number of reno's planned before we move in.
- new furnace
- new carpet up/down
- new paint everywhere
- light fixtures
- (re)finish the basement
- new shingles
- new eaves troughes
The cost of the reno's is being put into the mortgage. That means that they have to be done within a certain amount of time. Luckily I get my 3 weeks 'end of project time' at the end of January. I won't be short of stuff to do during those 3 weeks.
I put some pictures up on the website. Though the pictures were taken for the purpose of remembering what we thought needed to be fixed or replaced, so they don't really paint a nice image. But maybe they will provide a nice contrast to finished product.
To all our family in friends, in different provinces, and even continents, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, Happy Hanukkah, Have a Cool Yule, etc.
